Former Governor’s Aides Declare Support For Governor Bello

Political Appointees who served in the administration of Governor Idris Wada have expressed their readiness to work with the administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello in moving the State forward.

The Forum of Political Appointees (2012-2016), which was in the Kogi State Government House, was received by Alh. Hadi Ametuo, Special Adviser to Gov. Yahaya Bello on Political Affairs, declared its total support for the present administration.

Leader of the delegation, Barr. Kayode Olowomoran, a Former Commissioner For Culture and Tourism, said the former appointees made up of former Commissioners, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, had come to associate with the laudable achievements of Gov. Bello.

The Forum praised the efforts of Gov. Bello at ensuring security of lives and properties in the State, describing the present administration’s infrastructure development as unprecedented.

While pledging the support of the former political appointees to work for the success of the present administration, Olowomoran however appealed to Gov. Bello to assist in the payment of the four months salaries, severance and other packages owed the appointees since 2016.

In his remarks, Alh. Hadi Ametuo, described the administration of Gov. Bello as humane, and assured that an opportunity would be created for the Forum to meet with the Governor, with the optimism that the meeting would yield positive result.

Ametuo thanked the forum for coming to identify with the laudable landmarks of Gov. Bello in the area of security and other sectors of the State, hinging the success to its open door policy.

The Special Adviser desclosed that with the achievements recorded so far, the APC Flagbearer would emerge victorious in the November 11, 2023 governorship election. He urged them to join in building a virile Kogi State.

He disclosed that the administration of Gov Bello has tremendous respect for former Gov. Wada, stressing that the relationship between the current administration and Wada’s is one of mutual understanding, hence he assured that the dues of the Capt. Wada appointees would not be taken lightly after meeting with the Governor.

Highlight of the visit forum was the presentation of flex banners, billboards and other campaign materials to express its commitment to working with Gov. Bello.
