Gov Bello Orders Immediate Rehabilitation Of Ogori-Ageva Road

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi has directed the State Ministry of Works to commence the immediate rehabilitation of the Ogori-Ageva road, in the Central Senatorial District of the State.

The governor made this known while welcoming members of the PDP who defected to the APC and Stakeholders from the area at the Banquet Hall, Lugard House, Lokoja, on Monday.

This was contained in a press statement signed and released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Onogwu Muhammed, in Lokoja on Monday.

While expressing his gratitude to the people of Ogori/Magongo for their support to his administration, the governor recalled that one of his key initiatives during his first term in office was the electrification of Ogori which he believed will transform the socio-economic lives of the people.

He noted that this had been his concern even before becoming governor and was fulfilled in achieving it.

Bello commended the Council Chairman, Goke Oparison, for his sterling stewardship, particularly in the area of security.

The governor assured the people that his administration would continue to work tirelessly until the end of his tenure, emphasizing that Ogori Magongo would remain a focal point of his attention.

Governor Bello saluted the courage of the decampees, assuring them of equal opportunities alongside the existing party members and encouraging their active participation in Ododo’s election campaign.

A former Council chairman, Gabriel Odaudu lauded Governor Bello for his exemplary leadership and the good governance experienced in the state under his administration.

The former lawmaker also commended Governor for his inclusive, equal, and fair leadership.

Speaking, the immediate past chairman of the PDP in Ogori/Magongo LGA explained that their decision to join the ruling APC was informed by their belief and conviction that the people of the area would benefit more by supporting the Party’s governorship candidate in the November 11 election.

He eulogized Governor Bello’s sterling leadership qualities, which make him the pride and doyen of the people.

Prominent among the political leaders and defectors include, Ogori/Magongo PDP Party Chairman – Emmanuel Olufade, Former PDP LG Secretary Ogori/Magongo – David Shado, Ogori/Magongo LGA PDP Chieftain – David Black Olowu, Former PDP LG Legal Adviser, Ogori/Magongo PDP – Sunday Akpata, Former PDP LG Financial Secretary Ogori/Magongo – Taiye Owolabi Paul, and a host of others.
