Kebbi Deputy Speaker Regains Freedom, Govt. Confirms Rescue From Captivity
The Kebbi State Government has confirmed the safe rescue of Hon. Samaila Muhammad Bagudo, the Deputy Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, who was recently abducted by suspected bandits.
The successful operation was said to have been carried out by joint security forces, underscoring the government’s commitment to the safety and security of its citizens.
In a press release signed and issued on Saturday by the Secretary to the Kebbi State Government, Yakubu B Tafida, the government expressed relief at the news of Hon. Bagudo’s safe return.
“We are pleased to report that Hon. Samaila is in good health and high spirits, receiving all necessary support and care following his ordeal,” Tafida stated.
“The Kebbi State Government reiterates its determination to continue working closely with security agencies to combat the menace of banditry and other forms of insecurity in the state. We will leave no stone unturned in our efforts to create a safe and secure environment for all citizens and residents of Kebbi State.
“In light of this development, we appeal to all citizens to continue to support our security agencies in their efforts to maintain peace and security in the state. We urge everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
